The first Wetherby Beer Festival took place on 4th July 2009 to raise funds for the Save the Tower appeal organised by supporters of Wetherby’s St James’ Church.
A number of club members helped out in their individual capacity and were inspired to organise their own Lions beer festival following on from the successful conclusion of the Church’s event.
